When will my order ship?

For stock items, we aim to prepare your orders within five working days excluding, Saturdays, Sundays or Bank holidays. For U.K. customers we offer recorded second class shipping. If you wish your order to be shipped very fast, please do not hesitate to contact us. Customers in Europe and Rest of the World: Orders are sent using International Royal Mail - Signed For and shipping costs are calculated correspondingly.

With the current UK Lockdown, please note that we limiting the amount of postings to twice a week (Tuesdays & Fridays).

I am overseas, do I have to pay VAT?

As we are a VAT registered business, with UK made products, the items you purchase have VAT tax included in the retail price. On our invoices, we have to break this down for outax purposes, but rest assured it is not added on at checkout. Shipping does not incur a VAT charge.

Any other taxes your country may charge are not under our control.

Do I have to pay for Shipping?

 

Yes, all shipping is calculated at checkout, depending on the weight and parcel size. For UK customers, we are able to offer free shipping over a certain value.

 

Do I have to pay Customs & Import Duties?

Yes but this is all calculated for you by the border authorities, who will then be in touch with you to arrange for these fees to be settled before releasing your parcel. This is why we ask you for your email address and telephone number.

Do you offer Click & Collect?


We offer a FREE Click & Collect service at our Nottinghamshire location. Items available and in stock can usually be collected within 7 days of the order being placed online. You will receive a confirmation email when your item is ready and you are more than welcome to reach out to us to discuss specifics.

 


Can my order be gift wrapped and / or include a gift message?


We do not currently offer gift wrapping as part of our service, but we are more than happy to wrap your purchase in brown packing paper, alongside our standard packaging. You can select an option to include a personal gift message as part of your checkout, please add your text, which will be hand written on our beautiful illustrated postcard.

 


Will I receive order confirmation?


An order confirmation will be sent to your email address on placing your order.

This order confirmation includes your order number, delivery address, order total and optional gift message. Please review this information as soon as possible to ensure all addresses, items and details are correct. Is shopping online with Stanley Biggs safe and secure?

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Here are some guidelines on how to look after your new vintage inspired clothing from The Biggs Collection.

Wool Garments

For best results, we would recommend only dry cleaning the Stanley Biggs Trousers, Scarves and Caps.

Our Knitwear can be hand washed at home on a cool 30 degrees celsius.

There are some great eco-friendly wool detergents available online, but be sure not to rub the garment (to avoid bobbling).

Cold rinse the garments and avoid wrining.

Drying your wool jumper is just as important as washing it properly; do not tumble dry, and try to dry it flat (if you do hang from a washing line, do so from the bottom of the hem) and avoid direct heat and sunlight.

To iron, use a warm setting.

 


Cotton Garments

 

For the most eco-friendly results, we would recommend washing at 30 degrees celsius.

Always wash colours seperately. For best results, turn garments inside out before washing and drying and reshape while damp.

Drying your cotton garments are just as important as washing; do not tumble dry and avoid direct heat and sunlight.

To iron, use a warm setting. Any decorations on garments should be ironed on the reverse side or avoided.


Leather Footwear

Organic materials like leather and suede can degrade over time if they aren’t properly protected from the elements.

To keep the leather in the best condition we recommend cleaning with a damp cloth. Rub the material carefully to remove dust, dirt and the appearance of small marks. Once the product is cleaned, dry with a cloth.

It is important to avoid using a harsh chemicals to keep the leather strong and prevent cracking. Boot polish and dubbin are the best for your items, but be mindful that polish can change the colour of the leather.

To keep the soles clean and to avoid stains over time we advise cleaning the soles with a damp cloth using warm water and low-chemical soap or cleaning product. Avoid the upper shoe when cleaning the sole. Remove dirt and debris from the sole on a regular basis and avoid any strong or industrial chemicals as they can weaken the sole. Dubbin is a good water-proofer and will stop leathers soles from cracking.
